The Claremont Lewis Museum of Art Fall Gala was held on Saturday, September 21 at 5:30 pm on the lawn of the Claremont Depot.
This year’s Fall Gala, “Reflections,” was inspired by the work of Phil Dike, one of Claremont’s most renowned painters from the last century and an influential and admired teacher to hundreds of students. Dike was celebrated with the naming of Gallery 2 in his honor.
The festivities began at 5:30 pm with wine and hors d’oeuvres on the Depot Plaza. The Museum galleries were open to view the exhibition Phil Dike: A Bird’s-eye View and guests perused art in the live auction followed by a dinner catered by Chef Henry of Spaggi’s. Individual tickets were $175.
