Revolutions & Revelations: Avant-Garde Art of the 20th Century
Thursday, October 10, 17, and 24, 2024
Join us every Thursday, 6-7 pm at the Museum for our free Fall Speaker Series. This three-part lecture series will examine key movements and individual artists who influenced the history of Post-World War II avant-garde art. Both men and women artists were essential to these developments. The connections between these decades and the earlier era (1900-1945) will be defined. Taken together these movements are foundational for contemporary art practice. Wendy Slatkin, Ph.D is an art historian specializing in 20th century art. Learn more.
