Claremont Lewis Museum of Art Gala Reflects on the Poetic Paintings of Phil Dike

The Claremont Lewis Museum of Art Fall Gala “Reflections” will be held on the lawn of the Claremont Depot on Saturday, September 21.

The Gala theme is inspired by the work of Phil Dike, one of Claremont’s most renowned painters and influential teachers. Dike will be celebrated with the naming of Gallery 2 in his honor and the exhibition Phil Dike: A Bird’s-eye View on view. Guests will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres on the Depot Plaza, peruse art in the live auction, followed by a dinner catered by Chef Henry of Spaggi’s.

Additionally, there will be an exciting online auction with over 40 items available at 2024clma.afrogs.org. The site will be live online from noon on Friday, September 13, and will end at noon on Sunday, September 22. Viewing of the online auction starts at noon on Monday, September 9.

At the Gala live auction, guests may bid on a tour and lunch at Hauser & Wirth with Museum Director Martin Betz, or a stay in a San Francisco condo, as well as artwork by Milford Zornes and other local creators. A paddle auction to benefit Project ARTstART celebrating its fourteenth year in the Claremont Unified School District.  More information about the Gala can be found at clmoa.org
